Here you will see reviews over Sims expansion/stuff packs I have.
The Sims 3 70's, 80's and 90's Stuff Pack
The Sims 3 70's, 80's and 90's Stuff Pack is the 8th stuff pack in the Sims 3 stuff pack franchise. So does this expansion pack's item take the player and their sims back in time?
General View:
Since this is simply a stuff there will only be a review over CAS as well as build and buy mode. Let's get to it.
Create-a-sim I'm actually quite pleased with. There are only a few flaws. Which are located within the hairs. The ones with accessories are ones I will never ever use. The ones without have only one I might use but I don't quite often. The hairstyles are all the same for both Male and Female. Outfits are great. I have used all of them at least once. As well as the tops I am quite pleased. The grunge tops are very nice and detailed. There is a baseball-tee I use mostly for Athletic wear but it's good all the same. Bottoms have also been nailed very well. I believe there are three bottoms for the female sims. All very well designed and I find my self using them quite often. Male sims have some great clothes. However most of them are aimed more towards the rock and roll type of sims. There are some screen shots online when you google the title of the stuff pack.
Build and Buy mode items are quite well designed. I find myself using all these items quite often.
The Sims 3 Pets Expansion Pack
This is the 5th Expansion Pack in the Sims 3 Franchise. So do you really need to buy this just to have some horses, cats and dogs prance around on your computer screen?
Create-a-sim:
I have to say, I was very pleased with the new items The Sims 3 Pets introduced in CAS. There is only one new hairstyle for females but it is very good. Hairs with accessories are mainly riding helmets. Male's have more hairstyles but I have to say one of them just makes your sims look like they got really desperate and put a hedgehog on their head, hoping to pass it off as hair. Clothes I was also very pleased with. I do use most of them. there are some pieces, however, that I use a little less than I would like.
General Game Play:
The Sims 3 Pets brings us a brand new town named Appaloosa Plains. I would say this is a very accurate name in the Appaloosa part because I can't send my sims out without seeing at least one wild horse. Unless you turn them off, you will find that it very quickly turns annoying. Nevertheless, I do like what the pets bring as an addition. They aren't as much work as toddlers and can pretty much handle their selves. All you really need to do is give them a place to rest, some toys and a food bowl or whatever. But, I do wish that the pets would require more attention from the actual sims. Not just the fact that they sometimes seem smarter than the digital humans I play with. For example, you can walk you dog to the park, but they can also just run there and back on their own. Horses and their racing and jumping competitions are fun though. I at first thought it would be like a rabbit hole. You bring your sims to it, watch them enter and hope you win. But this time, you actually get to have a say on what your horse does. You see how long the race is, you see what place you're currently in and you can set the speed the horse is going at. It is quite easy once you get a pretty good idea of how the race goes. There are also some small pets that you can have. Such as snakes, hamsters, turtles, lizards etc. You can collect some from the wild if you don't like the ones offered to you when you buy whatever habitat your new friend requires. Minimal pets are a max. 30 simoleons.
Overall Rating:
Create-a-Sim: 5/5
Comment: I really like the outfits they have made, even though they're a bit more country themed, they don't suck at all and are actually useable
General Game Play: 4/5
Comments: I do love how the pets look and all the things you can do with them, but like I said, I wish your sims could get a bit more in-depth with them not just when you want to

The Sims 3 Seasons Expansion Pack
The 8th Expansion Pack to the Sims 3 franchise brings quite a lot to the actual game play. Of course, weather is the biggest component of this addition to your Sims gameplay hours, but what else does it bring?
Create-a-Sim:
For starters, there is a whole new outfit you can create, which is Outerwear. Your sims automatically switch into these clothes once the temperatures go down below -0 degrees. Seasons, is the main pack, so far which gives you any choice of outerwear. That is basically it. There is no new everyday/formal/sleepwear etc. There is however a whole new set of outfits. These, specifically designed as costumes. From hot dogs to seashell bra's, EA has thought of everything. Hairstyles, brought me a little bit more joy than the clothes. Female hairstyles without accessories are added to the list. 2 new hairstyles, from which I find only 1 useable. Hair with accessories, are a bit more... fruitful, I guess. Of course, these are designed as outerwear. However, I do not find them disappointing, and I do indeed use all of them. There are of course some new hairstyles designed for the costumes. New costume makeup has also been added.
General Game Play:
We all know that The Sims 3 Seasons was mainly added into the Sims 3 family because the game had a serious lack of climate and weather. The only real change of this was shown in the Sims 3 Pets, where the town, Appaloosa Plains, was designed to look a bit more fall-like. However, with seasons, the change to weather is very clear and well designed. Once the seasons change snow doesn't just automatically flop down, but slowly piles up depending on how much it snows. I am truly happy with the actual weather part of this pack. Details such as ripples in puddles and trees with half the leaves missing, really add onto it. Now Online Dating was a new addition to the game with this Expansion Pack. I personally don't find myself using it as often as I thought because if you really want to meet someone, right at that instant, you have to hunt them down and only then will your sims automatically get the, Get to Know interaction between the two. Nothing else happens. The festival's are a great new option however. You get a lot of sims on one lot at a certain time and you can put your sim to do many interesting things never done before.
Overall rating:
Create-a-Sim: 3/5
Comment: I do like all the outerwear, but new clothes you can wear in general, would have been nice
General Game Play: 5/5
Comment: I don't think they could've achieved the whole aspect any better. This truly deserves the 'Seasons' title.
